It’s a cold, cloudy, rainy day in Durban. It’s freezing cold and thoughts of global cooling and a new Ice Age keep distracting me. Durbanite’s are not cut out for this type of weather. The Genius is right, we would be the first to go should the world freeze over.
I am unable to find a jersey that will keep my arms, waist and neck warm. Today I think a fire place really isn’t a ridiculous idea and perhaps I should order one of those gas one’s, must be cheaper than installing a chimney, less hassle too, I’m not sure the board of trustees and my upstairs neighbor would appreciate me bashing a whole in the roof. Besides it would take way too long for the approval to come through, it’ll be summer by then and completely useless.
My fingers are aching. This is what frost bite must feel like. I wonder if the feeling in my tips will ever return. I won’t need to worry about my body decaying should I turn into an icicle. Flesh won’t decay when it’s frozen.
It’s a cold, cold, cloudy and rainy day in Durban. I’ve decided to listen to Snow Patrol. I figure it’s a fitting tribute to the iciness outside. I think I saw some droplets that looked suspiciously like snow. But, truth be told, I think it’s too cold to snow.
I am unable to find a scarf, beanie and thermal underwear. I have to go outside in a few moments and I don’t have any protection for my nose. I just realized I don’t have any snow tires. They don’t sell them in Durban. This could be a problem. I hope the slicks I currently have on my car hold out. I don’t have any life insurance. That could be a problem.
I tried to put an extra pair of socks on and realized I couldn’t find my toes. I looked for them at the end of my feet and was relieved to find my eyes still function. My not be able to feel my toes but I can still see. I wonder if your eyes are the last to go when you succumb to the cold.
It’s a cold, cold, cloudy, rainy, freezing day in Durban. It must be at least 18 degrees Celsius.
