The room that this Chest of Draws was to be customized for, is used as a guest room in a Surgery Hosting guest house. The client informed me that the unit was to be more masculine as the guest could very well be male, and still appeal to a woman's sense of oppulence and luxury. It was to have more neutral colours so that at any stage the colour theme could be changed without having to worry about ensuring the Chest still fit in.
I thoroughly enjoyed giving this unit a Facelift and have once again learnt some very valuable lessons about choice of fabrics, the importance of small details and patience.
I was also thrilled when the Husband informed me that he perferred this one to the other more feminine unit completed previously. I hoped it meant I had nailed the brief and had successfully managed to created something a man would feel comfortable putting his clothing into.
